Y/H MISSION STATEMENT

Founded by Carol Young and Charlie Hunter in 1989, Young/Hunter Management has, over the years, represented some of the finest songwriters in contemporary music. From the early days of working with Bill Morrissey, Chris Smither, and Casselberry-DuPree, Y/H has evolved over the years to represent many other notable artists including Dar Williams, Iain Mathews, Fred Eaglesmith, Richard Shindell, Jeffrey Foucault, and Elliott Murphy. In recent years, Charlie has retired from management, while Carol continues to represent Chris Smither & Peter Mulvey. Young/Hunter also provides space in our online store for some our closest friends and musicians (Kris Delmhorst, Jeffrey Foucault, etc).

The Y/H artists are working musicians. They write and record music, so that they can hit the road and perform for their fans in intimate listening rooms, music clubs, theatres, and festivals, both nationally and internationally, year-round. Y/H is committed to the development and support of its artists' careers, with an eye to the finer details of career management. We work directly with each artist to help them evolve musically and continually broaden and expand their careers. Beause of this attention to both the big and small needs of its artists, Y/H purposely and deliberately keeps its roster small. Nearing the end of its second decade, Y/H remains committed to its artists, the promoters and venues, and of course, to the thousands of fans.
